Borobudur Temple
Borobudur Temple was built during the golden age of Syailendra Dynasty, sometime in the beginning of the 8th century.The word Borobudur is believed to mean monastery on a hill. It is derived from the words baram and buduhur. Bara is from Sangskrit word Vihara meaning a complex of temples monasteries or dormitories, Beduhur is a old Javanese word meaning above. Borobudur Temple was built on a small hill in the Kedu Basin, a rich, fertile valley sourrounded by the spectacular volcanoes. To the East lies Merapi and Merbabu and to the North lies Sumbing and Sindoro. The unsual jagged Menoreh Hills encircle the temple to South and West. The temple is also located near the meeting place of two rivers, the Elo and the Progo, these rivers are believed to be symbolic of Gangga and Yamuna, two rivers feeding the Indus valley in India. We get a sense of the grandness of the landscape when we rise to final terrace of the monument which opens up into 360 degrees view of the magnificent valley.

Sultan Palace
Yogyakarta’s Sultan’s Palace or Kraton, with its grand and elegant Javanese architecture, lay in the centre of the city. It was founded by Pangeran Mangkubumi I. The Sultan’s Palace stretches from the north to south. the front yard of the Sultan Palace is called Allun-Allun Utara (North Square) and the back yard called Allun-Allun Selatan (South Square). Prambanan Temple
The hindu temple Prambanan this magnificent Shiva temple derives it name from the village where it is located. Locally known as the Loro Jonggrang Temple, or the temple of the “Slender Virgin”, it is the biggest and most beautiful Hindu temple in Indonesia. Seventeen kilometers east of Yogyakarta, it is believed to have been built by King Balitung Maha Sambu in the middle of the ninth century. Its parapets are a domed with a bas-relief depicting the famous Ramayana Story. The first open air theatre on the southern side of the temples was built in 1960 and the new on the western side of the temple in 1988. During full moon evenings in the month from May to October, the Ramayana ballet is performed right here. The complex of Prambanan lies among green fields and villages. It has eight shrines, of which the tree main ones are dedicated to Shiva, Visnu and Brahma. The main temple of Shiva rises to a height of 130 feet and houses the magnificent statue of Shiva’s consort, Durga.

Jakarta Surabaya Overland Tour

Day 1 : Jakarta – Bogor
Upon arrival Sightseeing transfer from the Airport to Bogor with a stop at the old Jakarta to visit
the old Sunda Kelapa Harbour.

Day 2 : Bogor – Bandung (B/L)
Morning visit the famous Botanical Garden. Proceed to Puncak where a photo stop at one of the many tea plantations has been arranged. After lunch pass the presidential Summer Palace (1750) at Cipanas and continue to Bandung, the capital of West Java. Arrival Bandung visit the Saung Angklung Udjo (performance upon available), enjoy the traditional bamboo music by the Angklung orchestra played by school children of different ages.

Day 3 : Bandung – Kutoarjo – Wonosobo

Day 1 : Jakarta – Bogor
Upon arrival at Jakarta Soekarno – Hatta International Airport, meeting service and transfer to Bogor for overnight accommodation. The remaining day is free at leisure.

Day 2 : Bogor – Bandung
After breakfast in the morning, visit the famed Botanical Garden before proceeding to Puncak where a visit to one of the many tea plantations has been arranged. Following luncheon pass the summer Presidential Palace (1750) at Cipanas and continue to Bandung.

Day 3 : Bandung Tour

A full day tour to explore the area around Bandung and the city itself, including a visit to Tangkuban Perahu (which means hulk of overturned boat) a volcano, where we can drive right up to the rim to see the breathtaking view of the active volcano and its smoldering crater. Continue our journey to Ciater with its hot spring of sulfured water, good for healing rheumatism and skin problems. In the afternoon we will visit the Angklung Music School Udjo (performances upon available) to see the Angklung Orchestra performance by school children of different ages.

Day 4 : Bandung – Pangandaran
We will continue our journey to Pangandaran Beach Resort. En-route we will visit Kampung Naga a traditional village of west Javanese Type. Upon arrival in Pangandaran direct check in hotel for overnight and we will stay for two nights.

Day 5 : Pangandaran
Today you will have a leisurely time to explore around Pangandaran the Natural Reserve.

Day 6 : Pangandaran – Wonosobo
Continue to journey to Wonosobo – Central Java. A long the journey you will pass beautiful landscape of the terraces rice fields and village live.

Day 7 : Wonosobo – Yogyakarta
Enjoy leisurely drive to Dieng Plateau. This 2093-meters high plateau has a number of interesting scenery; along the journey you will see dramatic Mountain View. Visit Pendawa Lima Temples In the center of the plateau, also visit Sikidang Crater a breathtaking views of some active crater with continues up-welling of sulphur and the smoking fumeroles. Day 8 : Yogyakarta Tour

Our next stop will be Batik Home industry to see the process of producing batik the proceed to Kota Gede the original home of Yogya‘s silver ware.
